Threat Of Islamic Militancy To NZ & Some Details From Emirates
I stayed with a Pakistani contact of Abu Barr’s called Yusef in the UAE. I was supposed to marry his sister (didn’t work out, think coz I wasn’t very interested in working). Yusef acted as Abu Barr’s driver when he was there (which he was once during my visit). Yusef pointed out the location of the LET office to me though I can’t remember if it had closed by that stage or if I just couldn’t go there (don’t remember location). Yusef was a driving instructor. He lived in a small room on the second floor with his sister’s family occupying the rest of the second floor. I had stayed on the ground floor which was vacant (and needing work) when I stayed there.

The probable reason I was picked up (along with other people): Sep 20 2003, The annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund began in Dubai
I also stayed with a Mohammed King who was Syrian and had lived most of his life in KSA only to be expelled or something. Abu Abdul Aziz put me in contact with him. The last I saw him was before he went to China to arrange the importation into the UAE of motorbikes. He used to manage a supermarket or something prior to when I knew him.
